Another vent...

We had to put our 12 year old dog down on Tuesday.  It was the hardest thing I have ever done, he was my 1st pet and a BIG part of our family.  Today SIL watches my son and I was saying I didn't get to bathe my son as he feel alseep early so he may be a bit stinky.  She said speaking of that I know it has only been 2 days but....I stopped her right there...really you are going to say that the death of my dog makes your job easier or less smelly after I just had to put him down 2 days ago.  REALLY....I mean I know she doesn't like animals but have some sympathy for us...think it don't say it! I didn't say anything back because I know it wouldn't do any good.

I'm so sorry to hear that. We put my 12 yr old dog down last May and I still cry every time I think about her. Take care of yourself!

Ugh!  Not sensitive at all.  Dogs become part of the family.
