So, we've been fighting to get EI in to do another eval of Finn for about 2 months. Well, I've been fighting, since they didn't want to come back until his gestational 18 mo, which would be early March- and I wouldnt have it. These ba*tards started to talking to me about how their budgets have been cut and they want to make sure he would qualify.
Listen EI people- I understand your job is hard, but don't talk about your budget and my kid in the same sentence! He just needs some PT, even if its isn't covered, I'll pay for it!
He qualified for PT and its scheduled for next week- everything else was normal.
And go figure- my kid scored 102 on his speech and expressive skills!! His first A+! Those of you that know me, I'm sure you are shocked that my kid talks a lot and expresses himself overly well :-)
Re: Finally! EI comes through
YAY!!!
(yea, EI is seriously lacking here too. I just called for a patient who stopped receiving services 2 months ago (this is a special needs kid who REALLY needs PT) and was told that they have lost a good number of their PTs and that they just don't have service providers. GRUMBLE.)
Yay for Finn getting the services he needs!
I recently had a client who had a major pain in scheduling an EI eval because the mother's day off work did not coordinate with the easy alternate sides parking day on the family's street. Hello, ride the subway like the rest of us and do your freaking job!!
