What do you have planned for Valentine's Day? We are going to the casino on Sat. night for dinner, drinks, and gambling. Then Tuesday we are having wine and cheese at home.

 What's your favorite vacation spot and why? I have to say the Big Island in Hawaii. We went on our honeymoon and it was amazing because there is so much to do there. We layed on the beach at the resort, took a helicopter ride to see the lava flowing out of the volcano, hiked to a beach with sparkly green sand, drove all around the island looking for waterfalls, etc. We never ran out of things to do and could have spent another week there.

 What is your profession? I'm a first grade teacher.

 How did you meet your DH/SO? Believe it or not - at the bar!! It was a mutual friend's birthday, but I still think it's funny.

What's your favorite TV show? I'm liking Revenge and Smash as my new shows. I also watch cheesy reality shows like the Bachelor or Real Housewives. Parenthood is another favorite.

Have you read any good books lately that you'd recommend (NLR)? Loved the Hunger Games series so much! I'm reading "The Fault in Our Stars" now which was recommended on the Nest ( I was lurking and looking for ideas). It's pretty good but I have a feeling there will be a sad ending.

What do you have planned for Valentine's Day? Nothing! DH is working until 8 that night. We are going to do a belated V-day celebration at Disneyland the following week.

 What's your favorite vacation spot and why? A toss-up between Santa Barbara and San Francisco.  I just love both cities.

What is your profession? I'm a legal secretary.

How did you meet your DH/SO? We met in a bar, which is funny because neither one of us do bars. We were both on vacation at the time and we partied that entire weekend. We both spent most of it drunk, though. We had an official date the following week and that's all she wrote.

What's your favorite TV show? The Wire. Also, Big Bang Theory. DH and I are like the Leonard and Penny of that show.

Have you read any good books lately that you'd recommend (NLR)? The Help. Book is much better than the movie.

What do you have planned for Valentine's Day?  Well I lost our superbowl bet so I had to plan it... we're going out on Saturday instead of v-day.  We're going to dinner at a place owned by a guy from Top Chef and then to a super fancy movie theater with reclining seats!  Never been there, but heard it's fun.

 What's your favorite vacation spot and why?  I think Jamaica just because it was our Honeymoon so it has good memories for me.

 What is your profession? Graphic designer.

 How did you meet your DH/SO?  He's my brother's friend... I stole him.

What do you have planned for Valentine's Day? Nothing really.  Just took a trip to the Bahamas and going to the Mediterranean in October.  Probably will just make a nice dinner or something and a nice bottle of wine

 What's your favorite vacation spot and why? Loved going to the Bahamas with my husband.  It was the first time he'd been.  Felt perfect to sit on the beach and watch the waves help wash away our pain

 How did you meet your DH/SO? We both lived in the same dorm in college.  One night a friend was supposed to stop by and I had my door open to my room waiting for her when he walked by and said "you, you're going out with me and my friends tonight."  For some reason I took a chance and 12 years later....

What's your favorite TV show? Love How I Met Your Mother and The Office

Have you read any good books lately that you'd recommend (NLR)? I'm not much of a reader but "Heaven is for Real" is absolutely amazing and a fast read.

What do you have planned for Valentine's Day?

Nothing...I might get cupcakes or something for the kids, but hubs wont be back from off-shore until the next day..grr. 

 What's your favorite vacation spot and why?

We dont take vacations.  I guess, my favorite place to spend time with my family outside my house would be the beach..my kids love the water, and gathering shells.

Professional mom?  LOL...I am a Cosmotologist by trade, SAHM by choice. 

 How did you meet your DH/SO?

He was my brother's best friend during Basic Training for the army.  They had the bunks across from each other. (Last names...Blinn, Brown..not battle buddies, there was a guy between them, who was my brothers buddy).  When my mom, sister and I went down to see him graduate from basic, we met him, and since he didnt have any family down there, he hung out with us.  When my brother was home for Christmas (they graduated in Oct), he called my moms cell, and I answered (she was driving).  He then sent an email from his phone, so I hijacked his cell number..lol.  Texted him the first time Dec 21, 2004.  Dated long distance until we got married in Aug, 2006.

What's your favorite TV show?

Hmm...Criminal Minds, Bones, CSI: NY (I met Gary Sinise once...he smiled and was really nice to my son, who was 6mo and up past his bedtime..lol) I also watch all the reruns from Cold Case

Have you read any good books lately that you'd recommend (NLR)?

Hmm...I dont know..I read romance novels..I love Nora Roberts, Carly Phillips..the list goes on.

What do you have planned for Valentine's Day? Gabriel has a ped appt. I think we are just going to cook a dinner at home and thats it. 

 What's your favorite vacation spot and why? I love emerald isle beach off the outer banks.  It is very family friendly so there isn't all the garbage snd drunk 20 year olds like at Myrtle Beach.  I love anywhere with Aquariums.  I love fish, but I don't want them in my house b/c they are alot of work.... But I love the way they work.

 What is your profession? I am an assistant GM at Planet Fitness.

 How did you meet your DH/SO? My best friend is married to his best friend.  They introduced us.  We decided be "friends, only friends" b/c he was just divorced with a 14 month old DD.  I didn't want to get into a relationship and get attatched to a kid and break up.

We were supposed to be watching movies and we talked all night litterally for 6 hours.  He kissed me, one of those I wish I could keep it in a box so I could take it out whenever I want kisses.  He said, you know you are mine now right....(yeah freaked me out a little too)

I repeated that we could not date each other and he said "fine then we'll get married." 7 months later we were married.

What's your favorite TV show? Criminal Minds, Vampire Diaries, and Supernatural.  ( I LOVE Jensen Ackles )

Have you read any good books lately that you'd recommend (NLR)? Hmmm I was reading the Anita Blake Vampire Hunter series but I stopped halfway through when I had Gabe, I haven't had time to start back up.

What do you have planned for Valentine's Day? We are going out to dinner Sunday instead of on actual valentines day , I also scheduled a full body massage for him with a friend of mine , he has never had one before.

 What's your favorite vacation spot and why? Mexico it was our honeymoon spot and amazing!!! Such great memories!!

 How did you meet your DH/SO? he shot pool with my BFF I was coming out of a terrible situationw ith a total jerk and he asked my BFF is she had an older single friends( he was 22 I was 32) she called me that night and asked  me exactly how young I would date and I told her hehehehe 21 well since my baby brother was 20 and she said she had a friend. When I first met him I thought he was a nerd and we jsut chatted but no real sparks then at a 4th of july party about a month later he was there and he was thrown in the pool with his clothes on and took his shirt off and has his nipples pierced so I knew he was not a nerd after all. That night we began talking and I stillkind of shot him down my son was 11 and I was a walking billboard for birth control to a 22 year old. He pressed the issue and we went on a date he was so sweet and so charming. Our first kiss was the one that made me fall for him hard he was amazing and by our one month anniversary he was moved in and 4 months later we were engaged. We married a year and 2 months after we met.

What's your favorite TV show? Vampire diaries , Walking dead, Secret circle to name a few

Have you read any good books lately that you'd recommend (NLR)? Heaven is for real. It was very touching!!

--DH and I are going out for a nice dinner at a restaurant we have never tried before.  

 What's your favorite vacation spot and why?

--I would have to say St. Lucia. That is where we went for our honeymoon and it was gorgeous!

--I am a second grade teacher at a Catholic school.  

 How did you meet your DH/SO?

--We met in a bar on a random Tuesday night. He was on vacation with his guy friends and I had girlfriends up from college. We were literally the only ones there and we all danced together and had a great time. We saw each other at the beach the next day and went out again. He kept in touch and called to get together the next time he came down. We started dating and have been together ever since

--How I met your mother/ shameless /boardwalk empire/ modern family  

Have you read any good books lately that you'd recommend (NLR)?

--I love the time traveler's wife. Also, Judy Blume has a line of adult books that are all pretty good. Summer sisters was one of them that I enjoyed.

What's your favorite vacation spot and why? Kauai - We went there for our honeymoon and then again a month after losing Eliott.  It holds a lot of memories for us.

How did you meet your DH/SO?  Online, but randomly.  He was doing a search for people who went to the college I was attending (he was an incoming freshman) because he wanted to ask about the campus.  He messaged like 5 people but I was the only one who responded.  We kept in contact and here we are, almost 12 years later!

What's your favorite TV show?  I watch a lot of shows, but Glee and CSI are probably my favorites.

Have you read any good books lately that you'd recommend (NLR)?  I just finished The Help and I loved it!

   Hubby and I will be going out to dinner.  Not sure where though.

A few years ago my mom and I went to the Austria.  I really loved it there.  Hubby and I went to Singapore and we really enjoyed it too, mostly because of all the delicious food.   And New Orleans.

 How did you meet your DH/SO? I met DH in college. I first met him when I was a freshman (he was dating an older girl in my sorority). After he came back from a semester abroad in Australia he shared a room in his fraternity with one of my good guy friends at the time (my junior year). We started talking one night and have been together ever since.

What's your favorite TV show? Top chef, the first 48, The Office when Michael Scott was still there!

I read Gone With The Wind every couple of months. After I read it I feel like I can do anything.
