We decided failure to thrive didn't fit Zoey. She's meeting her developmental goals but isn't putting on weight fast enough. So, instead we have renamed it Thumbalina-itis.

Love it!  I think FTT is a hard dx to swallow....to me, thriving is more than just weight gain.

I love it! My LO doesn't put weight on quickly either but she meets all of her milestones and she goes with her own curve. The pedi is fine with this and hasn't used FTT but I'm haunted by the possibility of it being used in the future. I like your term better!

This is Annie to a T.  The first time I heard my pedi use FTT was when she was trying to get her synagis this winter and I almost gasped!  I love your term so much better.
