DS isn't crawling yet but he can sit up from any position and is now pulling up. Anything that he can grab onto, he's pulling up. So much that he doesn't even want to be on the floor he wants my arms to pull himself up and he is now doing it on the tub, it scares me because it's slippery and once he was all soapy and and I try to grab his arm to sit him back down he slipped a little and almost hit his head! He's obsessed! Anyone else doing this too?
Re: Pulling Up
Reese loves to pull up. She has been pulling up since about 8 months, and over the weekend felt brave enough to let go for a few seconds
She also started trying to climb on her toys today.
She didn't know how to sit (or wouldn't sit) until she was able to pull up. She still prefers to kneel and play with her toys instead of sitting. She was a very early crawler.
In the bath tub, we have her seated in a bath seat--so pulling up isn't an option
But she doesn't like to sit, so I don't feel comfortable having her in the bath without her seat either.
My ds is half pulling up now. He can get his butt off the ground but not onto both feet usually. I am his new fav toy because all he wants to do is try and stand up.
He does this in the bathtub but I tell him to sit on his bum while helping him sit. If he keeps pulling up he gets 3 warnings then bath is over. Since taking him our of the bath if he won't sit he has been better at staying seated. He has lots of bath toys so that helps to distract him.
Bath time has gotten very short in this house. Before he could crawl, he's scoot around in the tub chasing his toys for half an hour.
Now, if we can get him to sit for 5 minutes and play, it's a victory. The only thing that keeps him happy is if I get in with him (and I just don't want to do that all the time, bath time is supposed to be Dad's problem).
He pulls up on everything, cruises around the furniture, terrorizes the cat, and my coffee table is finally clean because nothing can stay on it anymore.
