DD got into full day kindergarten!

So excited!  We open enroll so I was nervous that we wouldn't get into full day kindergarten as the class has a max of 27 spots.  I got my letter today (a week before they said they were to be mailed) and my older DD got into full day kindergarten.  So excited for her.  She has been in full time daycare, preschool and now PreK so I really, really wanted full day since 2 1/2 hours of kindy just would not have done it.

That's great news!!!  I'm hoping Keira gets into a full-day Kindy program as well, I agree with you on the 2.5 hrs.

I wish we had full day, we only have 1/2 with an option to pay for enrichment which is like aftercare.  Congrats

Congrats!  We pay extra for full-day here (1/2 day is free), which we do happily as we really felt it was the best for DS.  He loves it.

  We pay for full day - $3,900 for the school year and they only have one class (27 kids max) of full day.  For the kids that go half day (2 1/2 hours) they do a 4 hour program through the group that does before and after care that you also pay for.  It ends up costing less than full day but the staff are not teachers.

  Full will cost us $3,900 for the year and we also feel it is very worth it.  Half day is free but only 2 1/2 hours vs full day which is 6 1/2 hours.
