Anyone Else NOT Ready To Give Up Marernity Pants??

Seriously, I've tried to go back to my normal jeans, but it just isn't happening!!  I gained 50lbs in this pregnancy and have 10-12 left to lose.  I can fit into them but they still hurt where my incision is.  Two days ago I even asked my husband to wear my damp jeans around the house to stretch them out (which he actually did, now that's love) but they still are no where near as comfy as my maternity pants.  I wish I was a yoga pants kind of girl, but I am not.

  • I haven't even tried on my normal jeans!  I am still up ten pounds.  I hate the feeling of a muffin top and I know I will have one with my regular jeans, so I haven't even bothered.  I would rather wear the maternity jeans and have the high waistband hold my belly in:)

  • I'm wearing my maternity jeans right now.  I either wear these or pajama pants.  My ass/thighs are too big still to fit into my regular pants.  Just give it a little more time.  After DD1, I was able to go back to wearing all my old clothes eventually (it seemed like my lower half was never going to slim back down, but it did).  :)

Exactly!!   I have been using the belly band occasionally too to help hold the belly in...  I hate the muffin top look, and yoga pants look really funny on me because I'm so high waisted.   I wish it was summer and could wear sun dresses every day!

  • I can't wear my mat pants anymore because they don't stay up!  With my first it took MONTHS to get back to where I could wear my regular jeans again, but at 4 days pp this time I couldn't even wear my mat pants anymore (and I have no idea how much I weigh right now).  I still don't quite fit my smallest pair of jeans, but I can still wear them with a sweater on to hide the muffin top - they are just uncomfortable!

  • Not ready here, either. I only have about 5 pounds to lose but I definitely have lots of muffin top going on when I try to wear my old jeans.

  • I was so tired of maternity pants and clothes I packed mine up 2 weeks ago. I still need the bella band as I can't quite button them and I still wear yoga pants if I'm not going anywhere but I could not wait to wear all my normal clothes again.

  • I'm ready to wear them, but my body isn't! lol. I am 7 pounds away from pre-pregnancy weight, but I had gained weight before I got pregnant and my clothes were pretty tight then. I like how the mat jeans hide the saggy belly right now.

  • I'm only fifteen pounds heavier than my pre pregnancy weight but I've gone up so many sizes! Pre pregnancy I was a size two.  Now, I can barely fit into my old size eight pants from when I weighed more.  I have like three or four really old pairs of pants I can wear and of course, maternity pants.  I don't know whether I should just buy all new pants or wait and hope I go back to a size two.
  • Not me. I was back in my pre-pregnancy jeans after a week and it felt so good. But then again, my bump was never really big enough to hold up the pants, so it was super frustrating!

  • I have yet to give up my Maternity leggings!  They're really big in the waist, but they're so comfy.  I don't think I'll ever throw them away.

I have bought some new jeans, since I gained all my weight in my thighs and butt. I have about 10 pounds to go!

  • I am actually happier in them now than I was while PG. My normal pants fit o.k.... but are uncomfortable where the scar is still healing inside.
