Valentine's Day at DC

DD DC is having a Valentine's Exchange, what, if anything should I get her daycare provider.  I'm thinking something small like a heart shaped cookie cutter, etc. any other small ideas?  Since all of the kids are 4 or less, I'm just going to make little gift bags with graham crackers, marshmallows and Hershey's kisses and write, "Everyday I like you S'more".  So I thought it might be nice to throw something extra in our DC providers bag.  Not trying to sound cheap, it's just that gifts here and there really add up and I don't want her to feel obligated to return the favor.

Re: Valentine's Day at DC

  • Our teachers are just getting the same thing as the other kids -- bags of Hershey kisses and hugs.  I just can't run around for the teachers this year.

  • Ok, wait, how about this idea, get a jar of hummus, she loves it, and make a tag that says, "Hummus say, I want you to be my Valentine?"

  • I know, like I said, it all adds up.  I love to be very giving, but gosh, sometimes, I just can't afford it.
  • okay your bags sound ADORABLE!! :)

but i don't do gift/treat bags. ever. it's just too much. color me a meanie and cheap. this year, however, she'll hand out little valentine cards, including ones for the teachers.

  • Thanks, yeah, I'm hit or miss on gift giving.  Sad to say, but I just give when I can, I don't partake in anything and everything. I agree, it's hard.
