Hi! Thanks for checking on us! Baby Caroline came HOME (!!!!!) on Saturday, so obviously I havent been on the computer much! Right now, shes actually sleeping on my chest, which is pretty much the most amazing thing EVER
She came home on 1/4 L of oxygen at 100% and an apnea monitor. The monitor is super annoying, but we are figuring out how to prevent the false alarms and learning to just deal with it. We had our follow-up today with the ophthamologist today (she's 39 weeks today) and she gave Caroline a stellar report! She said she has "some of the most gorgeous retinas I've seen on a 39-weeker!" and unless we have issues, we don't have to go back for a year. She also said that once the eyes develop without any issues, babies usually lose the oxygen pretty soon after, so we are hopeful on that too. Our pulmo follow up is March 3rd.
We are just over the moon having her home. She seems to be thriving and we fall more in love with her each day!
