Ethan is doing well at rehab. He is getting his therapies (OT/PT) and we are learning a lot about how to take care of him with his trach once he comes home. I love being able to be more hands on and involved in his care. They have been working on vent weaning. He was cruising along and was up to 8 hours a day off the vent after only a week and a half. He didn't have any issues until he got a little tired on Monday. They decided to give him a break and have him back at only 4 hours a day for the next few days and then will continue to try to increase the hours per day he is off the vent. We were a little bummed about the setback, but they said it is very normal for babies to just get a little tired. They aren't used to working so hard on their own. We just need to be patient and let Ethan tell us when he is ready.
Avery is doing really well at home. She rolls over from tummy to back and even gets half way over from back to tummy. She smiles a ton, giggles, and babbles like crazy. Her head control is really strong. I think she is starting to teeth because she is drooling nonstop lately. She has been really great with sleeping at night. She will go 6-7 hours straight!
We were even allowed to bring Avery with us to see Ethan. Here is a pic:
Just wanted to give you all a quick update. Hope all of you ladies and your LOs are doing well!

I don't usually come over to this board, so this is the first time I've read about your babies.
I just wanted to say I love the pics! The latest one just melted my heart. Absolutely precious.
Glad to hear that everyone is doing well. I know it's been a long hard road, but you're doing something right...they look great!
