Another q about my AF. TMI

I didn't know where to post this. Since it isn't loss related, but I just feel more comfortable asking you girls. I got AF and like I said in a pp she is being weird. I haven't had major cramps like before. But what worries me is that it's dark not fresh blood. So maybe it isn't my period? I don't know. It's alot like a regular period but instead of red it's dark. Anyone had this?

My first one after I had Peyton was different from normal ones as well, it was much heavier with quite a bit of cramping.  I don't honestly remember it not being red, but I do know it was very different.  I wouldn't be concerned unless it starts getting so heavy you are concerned, then you could always call your dr.

If you have large clots call the doc....and for that matter, that's what they are there for...if you are worried, call them.  I have discovered that after you lose a baby, you can call them for pretty much whatever you want and they will help you.

I just got mine and it's been normal. But when I thought it was taking too long to get here I called the Dr. and they wanted to see me right away. I was surprised they did, and thought maybe I was making a big deal about it. But they were glad I called, and they did testing and a vaginal ultrasound to make sure things were back on track. I agree with Jenn, just call and they will pretty much do anything for you.

Mine was short, only two days, I had a mix of red and dark blood. My doc said this is normal. I agree with the others, definitely call your doc if you're worried. But I think it is considered normal to have unusual periods post pregnancy.

"They" say that the first PP AF can be weird (mine was really light and it usually isn't), but I will tell you that I had retained tissue after my 1st D&C in the Fall and horrible cramps because my body was trying to miscarry the rest (so I needed a 2nd D&C for that and antibiotics for an associated infection).  That said, i say better safe than sorry and call your OB and ask to be seen.
