Terrible Two's are killing me :(

I feel like Lily just hates me right now!  Everything is 'No Mommy!' or 'Go away'!  I know it's just the age, but it seriously makes me cry sometimes.  We've just been having an awful time with her behavior...not listening, throwing tantrums - just feels like a constant struggle.  I know I'm not the only Mom to ever feel this way....guess I just need to vent about it.  She is so sweet at times and then the next second, Wham!, she's throwing herself on the floor over something that didn't go her way.

I have a sneaking suspicion that my growing belly is not help mattters.  Anyway...thanks for reading.

  • Poor Mommy.  I am sure you have hurt feelings a lot.  Justin has started having a few tantrums when he doesn't get his way, but he hasn't been mean to me yet.  ::: hugs :::

  • Aww, that's gotta be tough :(  I so dread this.  Mason already acts like this sometimes and he's not even close to being two, so I know its only going to get worse.  Hang in there!

  • DD is like this too sometimes. She throw fits when she doesn't get her way. Like when she wants to be up on all her toys with no hands. We had to take a few away because it was becoming dangerous. I feel really bad about it but I know she will outgrow this stage. I am glad that I am not alone.
  • Niko does this.  DH and I will load Niko into the car, DH will get in the drivers seat and I run in to grab our diaper bag....when I come into the car Niko says, "No Mommy!  Mommy stay home!"  This happens every time.  He'll also tell me to stay downstairs when he goes upstairs to play (of course I don't do that).  I know he still loves me b/c he always looks to me to comfort him when he gets a boo boo.  It is difficult not to take it personally....I thought of it like if I were in my classroom...I would stay calm and handle it.  I try to distance and not get my feelings hurt.  Niko doesn't realize his words :)  Good luck and know that I understand!
