I like it spelled Caitlin. Hmmm, I can't decide if I'd call it a "classic" or not. But I still like it. Probably won't be nearly as many other Caitlins the same age as your lo.

I like both spellings but I think I like Caitlin slightly more. I know this board isn't big on unique spellings, but i know someone who spells it Caitlan which I always liked. And I don't think it's dated.
I love it! It's on our list of potential girl names, with 2 i's. I tend to not like names with a y anywhere but the end. It seems too trendy or something.

I think it's dated and I'm over it, but that doesn't mean it's not a nice name.

Caitlin is a classic Irish name (although it is pronounced a little differently over there).
Kaitlyn/Katelyn/Caitlyn, etc are trendy late 80s names.
I do find it a little dated, but not overwhelmingly so.
Absolutely spell it Caitlin.
