Nuks/pacifier ?

When and how are you weaning your LO from the Nuk?

I've been trying to start this week, monday night she slept all night without it and then last night she woke up around 3am and i gave it back to her and she's still sleeping. I also havent been giving it to her during the day either i have them all hidden so she cant see them.

Any suggestions?

I have no suggestions every time we start to try to wean her from it she starts getting in like 3 teeth at a time. And I just can't go through with it without giving her the comforter she needs during it.  I talked to my pedi about it and he said as long as its gone by two.

Right now if she's up & playing she's not allowed to have it, but if she's getting snuggly to sleep she is.  I also need to break my bad habit of giving it to her when she gets tired (aka, mouthy) when we're out & about.

So, you're further along than we are so I'm no help. heh.

I've been thinking about this alot lately.  I think in the next couple of months we'll get started weaning.  I'd like to cut the car then move to nap and finally nightime.  She doesn't get it during the day so that is not an issue, but like pp I also do the nuk when she is "mouthy" and we're out.

I'm not really any help because neither of mine would ever take a pacifier. 

With my nephew, my SIL tried cold turkey (multiple times). When he was 2.5 they gave him Scout whenever he asked for his pacifier and at night turned on music to help him sleep. Basically just replaced the pacifier with a substitute. She said it was a rough week or so but she didn't want him going to preschool with it, and cold turkey just made him scream and bawl his eyes out.
