Quick Synagis ?

What is the max time you can go between shots? Today is day 30 and our pedi does not have the girls shots yet, and I am getting antsy. I thought it was 30 days, and so now if we have to wait a few more days I am all paranoid about taking the girls into the germy pedi office with lowered immune systems to get the shot.

Im not sure what the official time frame is but I do know that DD was scheduled for her second to last shot on Last Friday - her pulmonologist called to say the pharmacy hadnt sent the shot yet and we would do the shot this week instead.  On Friday night DD got sick and is still sick! (dont know if it was the lack of synagis - it was probably because she started daycare last week but I swore it was the lack of the shot! mostly because I was mad that they wouldnt send it!!!)

PS - they still havnt sent it and yesterday when I called the insurance company they claimed the recinded her authorization for these last two because they feel like shes had enough.  SERIOUSLY>+!!!!!!!!!!!! How does some idiot at a desk in wisconsin know that my baby is ok and doesnt need anymore vaccinations? She has had 6 and originally was approved for 8- and shes not a year old yet. and just started daycare etc. - obviously we are appealing.  I hate synagis

I thought the window was 28-31 days.

 

Can you call your pedi's office when you get there and tell them you're in the car, but waiting outside and have them call your cell when they are ready for the girls?  Cover the stroller on the way in and get in and out?

Quick question - how many shots are your girls getting?  Our insurance is only covering 5 this year based on regional reports.

It would be a hassel to do the wait in the car thing but it is possible.  We are going to switch pedi's after RSV season so we dont mess up the shots. This is supposed to be their 4th shot and they are supposed to get one next month too.  So I guess 5, but they said at the beginning of the season that we will have to get pre-approved each month but it wont be as big of a deal as the beginning of the season.  Also RSV is rampant here. I feel like everyone with babies under 18 months that I know has had it this month.

They only let us go 28 days.

I was told between 28-33 days; DD had to get her last one at 32 days since our pedi majorly screwed up and didn't order the shot for us.  I got to her appt. for her RSV shot and they didn't have it!  So we immediately switched pedi's for her next shot coming up on Thursday.

Thanks ladies, They finally called me back. They have been so busy with RSV patients, we got lost in the shuffle. They have had their shots in office since Monday, no one called to tell us to come in. So, we are on our way!

I have the Synagis flyer in my hand and it says 28-10 days.
