Has anyone been warned not to use loratadine while ttc and preggers? My ER seems to think it is OK, but I have a niggling worry about it.

Re: Loratadine while TTC
I think if you google this, you'll get 10 different opinions. My wife chose to contineu to use it while we were TTC, but then stopped once we found out she was pregnant. It is a category "B" drug which suggests that doctors and researchers believe it is one of the safer options...but it's all about risk and comfort for you.
My wife was surprised that stopping loratiadine was that big of a deal, so it was an easy decision for her to stay off of it. However, she has a horrible head cold right now and would be unable to work if she didn't take sudafed, so she is taking it. You're no good to your baby if you are very sick or in pain, so you have to be willing to make choices to fit the risk you need. After that, it's a choice.
