I just want to say that the first year is tough, but it does get easier.  Please feel free to contact me. My son is almost 6 years old, and he was also born with a wide unilateral complete cleft lip/palate. He amazes me with his strength.  I was shocked, because I did mourn his Cleft lip repair.  I missed his wide smile ; ) I went through the guilt of what did I do to cause this too. What I have learned is that the surgeries are so much more difficult on us (tears at our heart strings), than our little ones.  She will bounce right back, and babies do heal so quickly! Robyn
