Encouragement needed 1st IUI BFP's?

Hi ladies,

As we get closer to our first IUI with medication cycle in about a week, my nerves are getting shaky along with DH starting to realize this is actually happening.

We've saved up for this for so long and right now only have enough for 2 trys. But we keep praying that number 1 will be the one that works. After our injection class today DH said "wow only a 25% chance with all IUI's" I could see on his face that this number was not only shocking but disappointing for him. I wish there was a daddy bump area so he could get support from others experiencing the same thing. Since all his buddies/cousins/brother don't seem to have any sort of IF issues.

TTC since November 08 IUI #1-BFN March 1, 2012 Saving Break will try IUI #2 in August 1/2012-S/A wash-count low 3 million 12/30/11 Luminarium(seaweed) stuck in cervix was suppose to "naturally" open it. Surgery for retrival. 12/7/11 Met with Dr. Dougherty new RE-more testing 2/11 Decided to take a year off to save for a new RE 1/11 Cycle day 4 a/s 15mm cyst left Ovary 1 follicle left over no meds this month. 12/10 Cycle Clomid-O'd Progestrone Dostinex =BFN 11/10 HSG-ALL CLEAR & S/A-Adequate 10/10 Cycle- Progestrone and Clomid-O'd=bfn 11/09 lap-removed a lot of scar tissue/endo =not so much cramps during AF ;) 2006 Appendectomy-cyst burst on right ovary =scar tissue 2005 abnormal cells-biopsy and cells removed=scar tissue

    IUI#1 w/ bravelle 5/12/11 -- 0% morph on day of IUI, but somehow BFP:
    Beta #1 38 at 12dpiui, Beta #2 85 at 14dpiui Beta #3 1100 at 19dpiui
    DD born December 28, 2011 at 34w6d

    Baby #3 due June 14, 2015

    we got our bfp on our first cycle using injectibles (follistim/luveris), was supposed to be iui, but switched to ti, and it worked for us...wishing you luck!

    Me: 30, Dx Unexplained/hypothalamic amenorrhea
    DH: 31, normal!
    April/May 2011: Menopur + Ovidrel +TI = BFN
    Oct 2011: Menopur + Hcg +IUI = BFP!
    Beta #1 (13dpiui)= 129.7, Beta #2 (15 dpiui)= 305

    I didn't get my BFP with IUI#1, but IUI#2 did the trick for me. Goodluck, and remind your husband that in a "normally" fertile couple there is only have a 25% chance of success every month.

    Ours worked the first time with25mg of clomid.  Due in two weeks!

    Baby N conceived after 1 miscarriage and more than 2 years of TTC. Diagnosis was low sperm count. We found success after 3 months of anastrozole to increase DH's testosterone and one IUI.

    We were successful with our first IUI- with a combo of menopur and femara( details in siggy). Good luck!

    We were unexplained IF, treatment details in my siggy.  My little IUI baby will be here next week!  First IUI successes happen.

    I was fortunate to get pregnant with my first IUI.  Sperm count was around 42 million.  I took clomid and had an Ovidrel trigger.
