hey ladies! i am due feb 20th with my LO one i figured since you have hopefully had your LO's already i'd ask this here. 

 

after your LO was bon did the hospital you delivered at provide you with the documents to fill out for like social security cards, birth certificates and things like that? if not where would i be able to find out what i need to fill out after he comes? TIA

My hospital did.  If yours does not, you can go to the county register of deeds for the birth certificate and the social security administration for the social security card.  You could call the hospital and ask.

Our hospital provided everything. We filled out the forms and they got them to the register of deeds for our county and to the social security office.  We could go pick up DS's birth certificate in 10 business days and his social security card arrived within 2 weeks.

Mine provided everything. And since I preregistered I was able to partially fill it all out with my information, so while I was recovering all I had to put in was LO's information. You could always call and ask.

thanks! i think i am going to call the hospital just to check, i need to get his ss and birth certificate asap because my insurance only covers me and LO for 6 weeks after birth and need that stuff to switch to SO's insurance! thanks again ladies and congrats on your outside babies c:
