induction jitters

We are getting ready to head into the hospital to start our induction and Im starting to freak out. I knew this day was going to come, but I could potentially leave the hospital in a few days with a baby. yikes! Any t&p's are greatly appreciated and good luck to any other overdue moms out there.

Re: induction jitters

  • You can do it! It is scary and surreal, but when you snuggle that little baby it's all worth it! Good luck.

  • I was induced too, and it was very scary going to the hospital knowing what was going to happen. The actual process is pretty gradual, so you'll calm down once you get there and settled in and it feels like your body is naturally going into labor. I know no amount of "you'll be so happy once your baby is here" really makes you feel 100% better, so here's what I'll say - relax your body through the contractions, it's your natural inclination to tense up but that makes it worse. Also, the epidural is a lot better than I thought, I could still move my legs and feel them to a point, I just couldn't feel any pain, so it wasn't as constricting as I thought it might be. Good luck, these next few days are going to fly by for you!
