Question about VBAC

Ok I am just a lurker, but I am pregnant with #2. Only 9 months after having my DS. I want so bad to have a VBAC, but my Dr. told me after having my son I will have to have a repeat C/S. If you had your Dr tell you this and still got to have a VBAC, how did you go about this? I love my Dr and really dont want to change.
