Random question and this probably varies from hospital to hospital but when you first went in for a scheduled C-section do you bring your full bag (what you'd have with you for your entire stay) or just your purse + what you might want immediately and leave the rest in the car and have DH (or someone else) get this once you are settled into your room?
Re: scheduled c-section, what do you bring up with you?
I just brought the small basics, lipstick, powder, camera and cell phone.
H didn't bring up all my bags until we were settled in our final room
We brought our bags into the hospital and they put them in a locker room. Dh got them when I got to my pp room. I left all of my jewelry at home. I also only brought my drivers license and cash card and left the rest of my wallet at home.
Things I was glad I had: the boppy, my robe, nursing tanks and loose, comfortable pants. We left our computer in the car and got it later. I also left DD's bag in the car and didn't bring it in until the next day.
I am having one in about 10 days, I was told I would be getting my room first, and then going and being brought back to my room after to recover.
I am going to bring everything in with me.
My bag right now consists of
Baby clothes- our hospital allows us to bring our own clothes for him to wear for the time we are there
Clothes for me - Granny panties, pads, some loose pants, some yoga pants that roll down, so that I can roll them up over my belly life maternity pants so they wont hit my incesion. I have nursing bras and tanks, and some shirts. A robe and sweater, and socks, and slippers.
Boppy pillow, my own pillow.
Laptop
Books and kindle
shower and hygiene items
a few blankets for baby so hubby can bring them home for the animals to get used to the scent.
snacks
chapstick, lotion, hair bands, headbands, camera.
I cant think of anything else!
