waiting for a call back from ped...typiing one handed while holdin LO so apologuze for lousy grammar etc

DD cord looks to be cominbg off ( she is 9 days) there are small amounts of dried blood around it... nothing continuous or excessive but i'm a FTM...anyone else have this?

Yes, DS's looked very gross and bled a little on his clothes and freaked me out. The doctor didn't do anything about it, just said to keep it dry. It ended up falling off the next day. This was Friday. Today it is still a little scabby but is healing well.

Yes, it bled a bit, got on his clothes, freaked me out too.  It didn't stop bleeding and oozing, so the doctor fixed it up with silver nitrate (he had a granuloma) and now its good as new  The Dr. said you don't need to be concerned unless its red or dark around the belly button area which could mean its infected.

Yes< there were spots of dried blood on his clothes for a little over a week after it fell off. The MW said it was no big deal as long as it wasnt red/inflamed/infected looking.
