Anyone tried to do it using a treadmill? What setting do you start with?

I'm doing it on the treadmill.
If you mean speed setting, use whatever is comfortable for you. My legs are short, so I do 3.5 for walking and 5 for running. I always do 1-1.5% incline though, as that's supposed to simulate being outside a little better (since you basically have no wind resistance). The incline also makes it easier on your shins.
