My coworker pointed this out to me - she said it was the first time she'd ever considered having a third. I told her "Don't you know? Three is the new two!"
I love the author of those blog posts, and I can tell you that having my third was sort of like that. However, my third baby happened to be/still is the highest maintenance health-wise. So I didn't get that sense of calm that you would think you'd get by baby number 3. He was a colicky mess for his first four months, so I actually felt more out of control with him as a newborn than with the girls (who were both very easy babies). But after his first year, as we're addressing the asthma, the milk allergy, the eating delay, etc. - and I get this all sorted out - I can say that I am a MUCH more confident/calm mom than I was with just the two girls. I love love love having three kids.
Wife, Musician, Fed, WW-er, and Mom of three little kids - not necessarily in that order.
Oh that is so sweet. I already want number 3, my mom thought it was the hardest transition, she had 4, so I am glad to hear that others thought it easier.

Haha, that's what I told people when they were shocked we announced #3 was on the way.
And this article got me all verklempt as I sit here with DS2 in my lap! All of my kids have been high-maintenance babies, but DD was the worst and I felt so helpless with how to handle her. DS1 was a bit better, and DS2 falls somewhere in the middle. This article does a good job capturing how different - and better, and healthier - your approach is with each subsequent child. I can manage his fussiness with more patience and humor, and I'm cherishing his babyhood much more. Even though I do wish he screamed less...
