Lunesta, anyone?

My mom's service was today. I'd like to be comatose tonight. Not very strong of me, I know- but it is what it is. Does this stuff work pretty well? I've been sleeping like crap since she died.

Re: Lunesta, anyone?

  • I used to take it - I loved it because within 5 minutes of taking it it was like someone hit me over the head with a hammer.  Slept niiiice.  Only drawback was rebound insomnia afterwards.

  • No experience but you are in my thoughts tonight.  I hope you can get some peaceful rest.

  • My only problem w/ it was the bad aftertaste, and the fact that my insurance doesn't cover it. So I've been taking ambien for over a year and a half now.

And, I don't think you are weak for taking it to get some sleep, your mom died. You deserve some sleep!!

  • I have no experience with it. I have taken OTC sleep aids in the past when I need help. We call it the butterfly medicine from the commericals.

I have been thinking about you. ((Hugs))

  • You may want to just take a half. It will knock you out. Sometimes I just take 1/4. I wish I had this when my mom passed away. If you take it for a while like a week once you stop you will have trouble falling asleep.

Loosing a parent doesn't get any easier but it does get more tolerable. Hugs.
