Anyone use Eco Sprout detergent?

My friend uses it and called me yesterday frustrated with leaking issues.  Her daughter leaked so much she was playing in a puddle of pee on the floor.  She looked up online and found her area has medium-hard water. 

Have you had an issue with build-up from using Eco Sprouts?  I had her do a repelling test and the diapers were repelling...what else would cause repelling besides build up?

my good friend (one of the only people I know IRL that CDs) and I both tried ecosprout and had horrible results. at first things seemed good but within a few washes both our kids had horrible rashes. Did your friend do the recommended soak beforehand to get rid of other detergents and whatnot?

We have ridiculously hard water (white residue on EVERYTHING, faded clothes, etc) and I've been using EcoSprout for about 3 months. No problems yet but I use 1/2 cap of Calgon in each wash.  Try that.

Thanks ladies.  I forwarded both of your responses to her, hopefully she can try the calgon trick and if that doesn't work then maybe she needs to try a different detergent.

I did suggest getting a small travel pack of Tide powder and seeing if using that for a few cycles clears up the repelling problem and she did mention the older one always having a terrible rash.  Maybe they are linked!!

Tell your friend to email EcoSprout.  They have amazing customer service.  The owner will walk her through her wash routine and troubleshoot with her.  He is an incredibly knowledgeable guy when it comes to the science/biology of washing dipes.

I have been using Eco Sprout for about a year and I love it! I used to use Rockin Green but got horrible rashes and stink. I tried Tiny Bubbles but I don't think it got my diapers clean enough. Ever since switching I have no more rashes on either one of my guys and have not stripped my diapers again!  I agree to email them, the customer service is amazing!
