Sorry to jump in, I just had a super quick question:
What day do you count as the first day of AF? The first day that you see any type of spotting or the "first day of you regular flow" like the OPK pamphlet says?
Just curious to see what this board says, cause I usually have 3-4 days of consistent, light spotting before full blown AF shows up for 2-3 days.
Thoughts? Thanks for the help! DH and I are just starting TTGP, so I haven't started charting yet... Just doing some ovulation tests, so I am definitely not anywhere NEAR educated as the average woman on this board!
Re: Can I Ask a Quick Question?
Well, the spotting is definitely heavy enough to need something, but 1 panty liner all day is good enough...
Does that count as "the first day you need a tampon or pad" or not??

This. Bright red blood is a good key too--most pre-cycle spotting is brown.
For me this isn't true. My periods are usually not heavy enough to require either. I wear pantiliners during my period, which I suppose could count as a pad but eh. I see a difference between the two. For me CD1 is the first day that I have a consistent flow, but it's usually incredibly light and most girls would probably count it as spotting.
