Do you ever temp other times of the day, just to see?

I am growing ever more doubtful this month.  My temps just seem on a steady downslide.  So, because I am totally obsessing about it, I take my temp all day long at various times of the day.  And then of course, they are higher, so I start to wonder.  Ugh!  If they are down tomorrow again, I will not bother to waste a $1 test.

One time my temp flat-lined for like 6 days after O at 98.6. I temped one night just to see if a different number would come up or if my BBT was broken. I saw a different number so I knew it wasn't broken. Other than that, I know temping any time other than my normal time is not useful for charting or sanity.

I usually temp before going to bed but only to make sure my thermometer is not broken and giving me the same temps in the morning...yup, I'm paranoid!

I'm SO guilty of this! Don't do it anymore though- it will drive you nuts! Your temp will go up based on activity. One night before AF was expected i temped and my temp was VERY high so I got really excited. The next morning it dropped and AF arrived. It was probably up cause I was cleaning the house. I never did it again.

I've done this too! When temps flatline, or just seem really off, I temp at a different time of day to see what it says then. Or I wash the BBT with soap and water and have DH stick it in his mouth and tell me that his temperature is normal.

the past two days I wondered why my temps were so high for during AF, but then I started feeling like crap, took my temp later and I was indeed having a bad cold/mini flu.

I've tried it before during the day like PPs just to see if my thermometer was broken. I found that the temps I get at 4:30am are pretty spot on.
