Girl Names

I love the name Kamryn Elizabeth.  My husband isn't in love with it.  Are there any other names you can think of that would be similar?????

Re: Girl Names

  • I LOVE it!!  For our girl, that was a choice.  We also had Jocelyn (pronounced joss-lynn).  And Kaitlyn
  • For starters, you could try spelling it the correct way and see if he warms up to it.

Other options would be names like Carmen, Campbell, Camilla...

    Good luck choosing!!

  • The correct spelling is Cameron. It's a boy name. That is all. :)

  • I strongly dislike the spelling & Cameron was always a boy name IMO.

  • I was not asking if you like Kamryn...I don't care.  I was just asking if there were any names that would be close?  Two or three of you had friendly replies...thank you.

I am glad to hear the rest of you think it is a boys name and that I am spelling it incorrectly!  Thanks.

  • I really like "boys" names for girls.  Like Blair, Blake, and my fave is Kenadee I know its spelled "wrong" but thats what I love about it.

Don't know if that helped at all but I do think Kamryn is cute for a girl : )  Good luck with deciding.

You'll learn really fast the hard way that people are very opinionated and even snarky on the name board. Don't let it hurt your feelings.

  • I like the name Kamryn for a girl. IMO, Cameron/Kamryn is a great name for a boy or a girl and Cameron is the masculine spelling of the name and Kamryn is the feminine spelling of the name.

  • I don't mind the spelling Kamryn and I don't mind the name either. I know a few girls with that name, and most of them go by "Kami".

This link states Kamryn is the feminine variant of Cameron.

IMO, technically, all names are "made up" at some point or another. I know a lot of posters on this board have an issue with newly or modern made up names, but "made up" names don't bother me because each name was "made up" at one point or another. I understand people that do not like newly made up names just prefer names that have been used throughout history, but at one point, those names were "made up" too.
