NBR: Low Progesterone? (f/u to thyroid ?s earlier this wk)

I got my bloodwork back from the doctor and my thyroid levels are fine, but I have very low progesterone and low estrogen as well. Low progesterone mimics many of the symptoms of hypothyroidism, so it makes sense given all my symptoms. The doctor wasn't there for me to talk to (a nurse called) and I have a lot of questions about it...I only really know about having low progesterone in relation to being pregnant, which I most definitely am not!

I really want to know what causes low progesterone and are there any natural ways to increase it. Dr. Google isn't being especially helpful for that one! The nurse told me that lifestyle choices affect your progesterone levels and encouraged me to eat healthy and exercise, both of which I already do. The only other things that were suggested were a) get more sleep (which I know I need to do) and b) get on hormonal BCPs (which I really don't want to do b/c they make me crazy).

Does anyone have experience with this? I'm going to get a referral to an endocrinologist, but I'm impatient and don't want to wait through the weekend to get questions answered.
