We are having the hardest time coming up with a boy name.  Our DD's name is Avery Grace so I want something that sounds nice when I say their names together and is similar in style.  My issue is DH dislikes more names than he likes so it's hard to agree on much (we had the same issue with DD too).  He doesn't want anything too traditional but not too out there or anything that when you say it can be misunderstood like Sean sounding like John if you are on the phone.  He also doesn't want to use an A name since DD's name and my name start with an A, he's not a fan when everyone in a family has the same first letter of their name.  I feel like this baby is going to be nameless.

The only name we sort of agree on is Kane but I am still on the fence and I don't love how Avery and Kane sound when saying them at the same time. Does anyone know a Kane?  It's not super popular but do like that it's easy to spell and pronounce.  I feel like we need to get a list together at some point of potential names for this baby.

    I've never met a Kane!  I know of Cain, in terms of Biblical history, though.

    Don't tell my husband it's biblical he probably won't like it then!  My DH is normally every easy with most things....but baby names he is not :-)

    Diagnosis: Blood clotting and bleeding disorder, immune issues, & cervical stenosis
    5/10 - 1st IVF cycle - BFN
    FET - 10/12/10 - BFN
    1/11 - IVF with PGD - BFN
    IVF - May - BFN
    6/11 New RE - fingers crossed!
    9/11 - IVF - 4 transferred
    10/13 - BFP!!
    It's a boy! Clint Michael, Due in June!!!

    It definitely reminds me of Cain and Abel, a biblical story.  If you use that name you should mention to your DH that it's a biblical name because your DS will be hearing references all his life about it!

    Not a fan of Kane, but my maiden name was Cain so it sounds LN to me. I wouldn't feel like there is no hope for agreeing - keep making lists (make him make them too!) cross off of each other's lists and keep going from there.
