When I had DS, I had two names picked out. The day after he was born, I decided which one I liked for him the best.
Not sure what we'll do this time. We currently have 5 FN/MN combinations (3 FN's and 4 MN's) that we like. I know we'll continue to narrow it down, but I don't know if we'll get down to 1, 2, or 3 names, for when she's born. I'll just have to wait and see
I personally would change the name. Naming someone, to me, isn't all about you, it's also about the person who will live with that name. I wouldn't want to name a person something that I felt didn't suit them at all.
If, however, no other, more suitable name came to mind, or they just plain didn't look like any name, I would just pick the name I liked best. You have to name a kid something, after all.
I'd have to be really sure that the baby didn't fit the name though. They don't ask for the name right away at my hospital.
We have a list of names that we like and if for some reason LO didn't fit the top choice then we'd look at the list again. I could see this happening more with girl names because it's always been hard for me to settle on the one.
Also, we plan on having 3-5 kids so if for some reason a name didn't fit there is a chance to use it again.
I pictured my first daughter as having dark hair and dark eyes, like me. When she was born with red hair and blue eyes, she did not look like the "Anneliese" I had in my head. We still stuck with that name. Now, I like her name, and she's grown into it, but it doesn't completely suit her. Her nn, Annie, works a bit better but still not perfect. I secretly wish we'd named her Lavender, which is a name we weren't even considering when I had her. I think it suits her better, though.
I picked "change the name" because that's exactly what happened with DS. The whole pregnancy we planned to call him Jackson, but still knew what our next two most favorite names were. We even told people he'd be named Jackson, etc. Then he was born and DH and I both agreed we couldn't call him that. It wasn't that he looked nothing like a Jackson, but that he just looked exactly like a Sawyer (which was our #3 name). It didn't take any convincing; he was just Sawyer

This! I plan on having more than one top choice and will name upon arrival.
My name was changed after about 2-3 days in the hospital. My parents decided I didn't look like a Pamela and changed it to Amanda. (Mandy) I'm glad they changed it, I don't feel like a Pamela.
I don't think babies "look" a certain way. They will look so different when they're older. I don't really get how a newborn could fit a certain name or not.

I 100% agree with this. Also I have absolutely no idea what DD is going to look like either so it's not like I've had a name attached to the way I think she looks.
My mom named me Lauren because she loved the name, not because I looked like a Lauren. I could have been Lauren or Jennifer or 100 other names. Now I can't imagine being anything other than Lauren.

This. I think all babies look like "Saul"s, no matter the sex.

So, in short, I don't know.
