Your phantom baby

I catch myself at the start of a new cycle looking at baby names and nursery decor. Am I the only one?  What are some of the things you think about?

I look at maternity clothes online, babies r us website for ideas on what to put on baby shower registry one day, I browse online for baby clothes, strollers, monitors, I debate with myself if I will breastfeed or not.

DH and I have our top 8 names, our furniture, decor and layout already planned.

There is really nothing else to do while you wait for that BFP so might as well have some fun with the exciting stuff!

My phantom baby is due November 5.

Mine is Nov 3 based on LMP and Nov 5 based on when I will most likely O!  FX for the Nov board!

Yeah I do the due date thing. I even do it for months in advance which is really far fetched bc my cycles are irregular.

We've got names, nursery decor, furniture, all picked out (I have NOT bought anything), along with daycare.  We're working on college savings and joke that if it takes a long time TTC, we'll have college paid for before phantom baby arrives!

I'm even worse. I have pregnancy apps on my phone that I change every month to reflect my phantom baby's due date. It's really pathetic and sad.

I'm also obsessed with baby names.

Nope. My Pinterest boards are a good example of how I think my phantom baby is going to just pop up in real life at any moment. Cribs, bedding, decor, DIY projects.....it goes on and on. Luckily, this 2ww will be me getting ready for our trip to Hawaii on the 13th.

I feel so much better, and a little less crazy, knowing I'm not alone doing that!

My phantom baby is due Oct. 23rd.  At the beginning of each cycle, I look to see when my FW and O date will likely be, then I look to see about when I could test and decide if it will be around anything special (such as V'day this cycle) in order to plan how to tell DH the hopefully good news. 

We sort of have our names picked already - we picked them before we started TTC and now DH won't talk about it.  Since we started TTC he has stopped talking about anything really related to a baby.  We had to go to Babies r Us to get some baby gates (for our dogs) and he wouldn't look around at all... said he just wants to wait until we get the BFP because it will be so much more exciting then. 

 I haven't really thought about nurseries or anything that though... the other day I did look at some maternity clothing websites...

 Yep, I do this too. I have my list of names too, but that's about it. Guess I feel like I don't want to jinx myself by getting too far ahead in my planning...

I've done everything (or close to everything) that PP have said already. My phantom baby is due October 17th. Fingers, toes, and eyes (haha) crossed!

DH and I have names picked out and a nursery theme (I may have already bought some paint....). I've also hired a behavioral trainer for my dogs so they can learn to behave around children appropriately (They are big and jumpy huskies, and their manners need some "refining").

I agree I am constantly checkly the preg due date calculator to see what the due would be I have added my fav. baby clothes, nursery furniture, etc to my favorites.

Ha! Glad I am not the only one.

I do this. "If we were to get pregnant this cycle, baby would be due on such and such a date."  Sometimes I even tell DH phantom babies due date depending on how crazy I'm feeling.

Me to. I already have names and baby gear picked out and im only 4 DPO... According to LMP, this phantom baby is due Oct. 22, and according to the chinese gender chat... its a girl.... Now I feel pathetic... Lol.

I am also 3 DPO/October 23 DD.  Fingers crossed for all of us.  And I checked the gender chart...phantom baby is a girl for me!  What about y'all?

Is it possible to already have back pains at 3 DPO?  I had bad ovulation pain so it might just be that.

I have a list of baby names (for the past couple years!) saved on babynames.com ...that i update on a regular basis.

My sister already gave me a bunch of clothes and I have had these cute eeyore framed prints for about 5 years now.

Same here!! I don't feel crazy anymore... My phantom baby is due Oct 31 (I would finally have a reason to love Halloween ) and the gender chart says girl!

My phantom baby is due October 17.

My phantom baby is due October 22nd and it's number #2 for us. That means don't get your hopes up you'll be any less obsessive the 2nd, 3rd, or more time around.
