Working out

I keep forgetting to call and ask my doctor and I was wondering if any of you ladies knew the answer to this...

I am just over 4 weeks PP; is it OK to jog maybe just lightly jog? At my 2 week PP appointment I remember him saying I can lightly work out and lift up to 25lbs but I cant remember if he said anything about jogging...

Thanks in advance ladies!

Re: Working out

  • I started running at 5 weeks and it was really, really hard.  I don't think I would have been able to do it sooner.  I know this because I would actually try to run a bit on some of my walks and my incision always started hurting when I did.  Maybe try next week?

  • I started working out about 4 weeks PP after my first c/s. I don't think I could've jogged, I just did a brisk pace on the elliptical because it was way lower impact than actual jogging or running.

  • i started running again at 3w, i wasn't technically cleared until 4w. i had an easy recovery but had a breakdown the morning DS was 3w old, i needed to get out of the house and away from the screaming baby. i usually run for stress relief.
