Have you read the story about the billionaire who adopted his 42 y.o. girlfriend?

In order to protect his assets in a wrongful death suit?

https://www.people.com/people/article/0,,20566900,00.html  (not the most complete article on the subject, but it's a quick read)

The article doesn't mention that his blood alcohol level was more than twice over the legal limit  and that the victim didn't die from the accident, but from drowning.  Goodman left the scene for over 50 minutes before calling it in.  Meanwhile, the young man drowned.  There was even a pic of Goodman smiling in the hospital after his blood was drawn by a nurse.  He is pleading not guilty in the criminal case and is attempting to protect his family's money so that the victim's parents get nothing.

This case is so sickening.  I can't imagine how those poor parents must feel.

How can he live with himself?

  • Wow, what people will do to protect their money, if he'd been more responsble in the first place he wouldn't be in this situation.

Now that he adopted his girlfriend isn't he going to get charged with incest for now sleeping with his daughter.

No, FL has a law that doesn't make it illegal because she isn't a close blood relative.   I'm not sure how that law works in other adoption situations....

Oh, that's right, incest is when you are blood related.
