Well, He is walking and if he falls he gets right back up to walk again, can't recall (in the past few days) when I have seen him crawl.
This morning he ate a whole banana! wow. Anyone else's LO eating a lot???
DS 12 month appointment on the 23rd of Jan. He was 24.2 lbs (75 percentile) and 31 1/8 inches long (85 percentile). Doc said he looks good. We asked about his weight (Cuz we were worried he was to fat) and he said with DS height that he is good. Phew.
Just wanted to update you all and keep the board alive...
Re: what DS doing...
DD sometimes eats alot, depends what I'm feeding her. She is obsessed with bananas, and will sometimes eat an entire banana while I'm making dinner.
She's skinny, only 19.13lbs, and 30.5 inch tall.
Isn't it crazy how much they change around they year mark!?
E started really walking a couple days before her party and everyone was so excited when she came walking out in her little tutu instead of crawling. DH didn't see her for almost 2 weeks and when he left she was still just walking a little here and there so he's still pretty amazed at how much she's walking.
She just started really eating a lot too. This morning she ate an entire waffle, sliced strawberries, some orange slices, and a few bites of my yogurt. We don't have her year check up until Tuesday but I'm really anxious to see how much she's grown!
This is an off week since JT is sick but he's only taking at most 6 steps at a time.
He will eat an entire banana at breakfast with 5 tablespoons of oatmeal and 4 tablespoons of milk. That's about the only fruit he'll eat but today it occurred to me to try the mesh feeder again - he's so sensitive to textures that if it doesn't feel the way he wants, it goes right on the floor.
He eats a whole YoBaby or YoToddler yogurt every day too.
He won't eat meat anymore. Pretty much only pasta, peas, cheese, and crackers. What am I going to do with him! Although he did have grilled cheese today (1/4 of one but that was sick) and he likes Kraft Mac and Cheese. Cheese, cheese, or cheese please!
Stats: 30.5 inches, 22 pounds 12 ounces
Joshua is a little piggy. He eats a waffle and a cup of yougurt for breakfast every morning. He has a mid-morning snack of either applesauce or cut up fruit. Lunch is usually some type of main course -either a peanut butter sandwich, grilled cheese or something like that with veggies and some kind of crackers or munchies, an afternoon snack of yogurt & supper with the family. He drinks 16-20 oz of milk a day.
He is not walking yet - he is getting close - will take steps while holding one hand so I give him another 2-4 weeks before he lets go and and is off and running.
Stats from 1 year check-up last week - 30.5 inches, 23lbs, 1oz.
DS also eats like a pig. He has no problem taking down a whole banana or anything else we put in front of him. We have been working on giving him 3 meals a day and getting rid of bottles. I need to be more consistent with snacks.
He's not walking yet but is also getting close. He is an expert crawler, so that is his preferred mode of transportation.
At his appt last week he was 25lbs 7oz and 31 inches. He's a big boy, but he doesn't really look chubby. I think he is just built really solid.
Kain has spurts of eating some days he eats alot other days he just sort of nibbles. He definitly prefers fruits veggies, pasta and cheese over meat. We recently discovered that it if was flavored meat there was a much better chance it would get eaten.
He is walking everywhere. He very rarely crawls at all. Within the last 2 weeks he learned how to stand when he was in the middle of the room with nothing to hold onto - so he has no real need to crawl anymore.
stats from 1 year check up on the 9th. - 17lbs. 5 oz 28 1/4 inches - he is still small.
