I'll eventually write out a longer natural birth story, but for now the short story:
Woke up Saturday morning thinking my water broke. Called on-call MD but took our time going in (since I wanted a natural birth). Labor never started, all the tests at the hospital were inconclusive (some were positive, some negative) but we decided it was best to induce.
Cytotec induction started at 5 pm with the first 25 mcg dose, contractions just felt like Braxton Hicks, 1 cm dilated. 8:30 pm, second 25 mcg dose, still 1 cm, contractions still felt like BH, but quickly picked up. By about 11:30, I was 6 cm and in it. Didn't need any additional Cytotec.
The MD and staff were great at working with me and my requests for a natural birth despite my "prolonged rupture of membranes." I had a Hep Lock IV, was on the monitors for 1 hour, off the monitors for 2 hours and did not receive an epidural.
Doula arrived around midnight. I labored in the bed (during the monitoring), toilet and shower. Pushed for about 2 hours and out came my BIG baby boy!

I still can't believe I did it.
We're both happy and healthy at home now. Nursing is going great and we're learning the ropes of having a newborn!
Hang in there overdue Mamas - you're so close!
