Cloth Diapering

Jillian's Drawers?

Hello,

Has anyone ever done the Jillian's Drawers trial?  We had been planning to use mostly GroVia AI2's but are starting to wonder if we should explore other brands. The company that makes GroVia is based in our town and they have good sales pretty often, and we know lots of people that love them.  We are just wondering if we should try some others out before committing to a full stash, and this seems like it maybe a good way to do that.  What did you think of the trial?  Is there a better way to try without investing too much?  TIA!

Re: Jillian's Drawers?

  • I can't tell you much about the trial but I can tell you that I wouldn't get a full stash of the same diapers.  You don't know what's going to fit your baby the best or how much absorbency they may need. I started with Bumgenius and I love them then I got a few Fuzzibunz and I loved those even better!  But now my son is not fitting well in the FB.  I would definitely try seeing other brands before you settle on one kind. GL!

  • Okay.  Thanks for the advice!  That's what we've been starting to think more and more.  It's just so overwhelming to think about trying a bunch of different ones.  We went to a class tonight on cloth diapering, and are even more overwhelmed now. :-/

Aww don't stress.  Its not that hard I promise!  The ladies here are very helpful :)

My son decided to grow like giant and at 27 pounds at almost 11 months some of the diapers are starting to fit tight so I'm having to buy bigger diapers to fit him.  You honestly won't know what you like until you have your LO :)

  • I just got my trial from Jillian's Drawers today!  I'm pre-washing them right now.  The fact that I could try out a few different styles and brands on my LO without having to commit was a huge plus for me.  Only $10 and I can return any of the diapers that I don't want.  Plus, I felt like they offered a great selection to try.

  • I got my trial on Monday and have been using it all week.  They def give you a variety so you can try all different types.  I've also been buying a few brands that I want to try that are not included.  I did find from the trial that FuzziBunz are my favorite so far.  But like pp said I'm not going to have my entire stash FB.

Thank you!  I know we'll figure it out.  It's not worth stressing over, that's for sure!
