Food Allergy

Toddler friendly meals

Hi Ladies!  My DH and I are planning on taking dinner and breakfast to our friend who just had a baby. She has two kids already who are 2 and 3 years old, and the 2 year old has allergies to peanuts and milk.

Could you suggest something to take that doesn't include peanuts or milk, and that is toddler friendly? I am drawing a blank on something that meets his allergy needs and would still be toddler friendly.

Also, kudos to all of you for the above and beyond you do for your LOs.  I never realized how many things contain allergens until trying to plan for this. You ladies are super moms.

  • Could you put a pork tenderloin in the crockpot and put BBQ sauce on it?

Make a large pot of spaghetti and meatballs.

    Chicken noodle soup.

    Beef vegetable soup.

  • My daughter has severe food allergies to egg, dairy, peanuts and tree nuts.  Some of the popular dinners we have in our house are tacos & chicken burritos (minus the sour cream and cheese)  meatloaf, BBQ chicken and rice pilaf, and spaghetti and meatballs.  HTH, good luck!  :-)
