how was your 2nd?

 

DD was 18 3/4 inches, 5 lbs 15 oz.  She was in preemie diapers, and could have fit in preemie clothes.  I am starting to try and prepare for LO#2, so I bought a small pack of clearance preemie diapers (amongst other items)

I was wonder if your LO#1 was small, was your 2nd too?

My 1st was 5lbs 10.5ozs and 19in long. She was born at 37w0d.

My 2nd was 6lbs 1oz and 18.5in long. He was born at 35w2d. I have no idea how big he would have been.

Both my kids were almost exactly the same size. My DD (my 1st) was in preemie diapers and clothes. My DS wasn't but just grew out of NB diapers at 3.5 months. He was in the NICU for 11 days, so I have no idea if he would have been in preemie diapers.

My first was IUGR so head in the 98th %ile and abdomen in the 4th.  He was SKINNY with a huge head.

We were prepared for another big headed skinny baby but my 2nd was totally normal.  Nice, plump, average baby.

I too bought premie diapers and had a premie going home outfit that I didn't get to use.

my first was 6 pounds 8 oz born @38 weeks

my second was 8 pds 3 oz born @ 38 weeks but I think my due date was wrong since I never got a period.

My second was 9lbs, 3oz at 39 weeks.

My first was 6lbs. 10oz. and 19.5" at 39w3d

My second was 7lbs. 15oz. and 18.5" at 39w2d

My mom's first kid was 7lbs. 8oz. and her second was 5lbs. 15oz. (also both were born at 39 weeks). So it really varies

Oh and both my girls started out in preemie clothes and diapers. Even my almost 8lb. DD2 (mostly to do with length and she lost quite a bit of weight right off the bat - dropped down to 7lbs.)

My first was 6 lbs, 11 oz, 19 inches at 39w2d. My second was 6 lbs even, 18 inches at 39w. They both probably could have started out in preemie stuff in stead of newborn, but it wouldn't have lasted long. The wore newborn clothes for about 7 weeks (#1) and 9 weeks (#2). I don't remember when we went up to size 1 diapers.

My first was 7lb7oz at 37w5d and my second was 6lb10oz at 37w6d.  She was much tinier.  She just now weighs 10lbs and she's almost 3 months!

My second was 6 lbs 12 oz, 21 inches long born at 40w 1 day.

1st 6.3 pounds 21 inches at 41 weeks

2nd 6.13 pounds 18 inches at 4o weeks 2 days

DS#1- was 6lbs 11.44oz and 22in long @ 38w5d

DD- was 7lbs 2.4oz and 18in long @ 37w6d

DS#2 its gonna be exciting to see if he tops them or doesn't rank up and when he comes lol
