I had my first internal today and I'm dialated a one to two and dr said if I wanted to I could go in tonight for cervadil and begin the induction.  I knew if I was making some progress this would be an option for me, but I rejected it.  I just don't feel ready yet, although if it happens naturally tonight or tomorrow, I'm all for it.  I just don't feel ready to say, okay, baby, eviction notice, your out.  Not yet anyway.  I did go for a walk for about 2.5 miles and I'm eating a spicy dip, I'll do some squats tonight.  And I've been taking EPO for almost a week now.  I want to try some at home methods before we talk cervadil and pitocin again.  Wish me luck and labor dust!!

I hope you go naturally soon!!  I would do almost anything to avoid induction as well, it's nice to hear about others in the same boat. 

Have you tried some lovin' with your DH?

Thanks for the support, I'll need it, some people in my family will be disappointed, but it's not about them, it's about me and the baby.

and I told DH that if he would have sex with me I just know we would have this baby soon, but he's trying to get the bathroom finished he said maybe next week when he feels like everything is done....umph.  I can't believe my DH is turning down sex...

good for you!  It takes a lot of strength to speak up.  It's your birth, if your not "sick" they don't need to push you.  Good luck, I hope he/she cooperates and gets moving on his own.

thanks ladies for your support, I'm kinda shocked as it seems alot of people on here are being induced....the part that made it the most difficult is that my insurance renews with a rate increase and benefits change on November 1st.  I have fully met my deductible and co-insurance at this point.  Therefore, it was extremely tempting to go ahead with the insurance to be able to have it paid 100%.  But dh and I didn't have peace about it.  We are willing to shell out the money to pay for this baby (as we had planned to anyway before realizing the insurance situation), now if baby bean wants to make a grand enterance tonight or tomorrow or friday on it's own, bring it on

Good for you!  My sister did the same thing with her first (one week overdue) and went into labor the next day.  Babies come when they are ready...no need to help them along.  I have never heard of one staying in there forever

GOSH that must have been a tough decision, what with the insurance stuff to factor in! You did the right thing, congrats! If I could take back my induction, I'd do it over and over. There isn't a day that goes by that I don't regret it. That baby will come out when it's good and ready! Kudos to you for doing right by your kid!

Congrats on being so close. I feel the same way about inducing. The baby won't stay in there forever, it will come out when it is ready.
