You have to qualify.... They match you to someone who needs eggs. So they pay for you to go through ivf, like in egg donor ship. But you both use the eggs.

So, if my AFC is 14, but I only produce 10 eggs...what happens? Do I have to pay her back her money?
I honestly have no idea. I just found out about it. I did request more information, though I'm not sure if I would be able to do it emotionally or not. My husband and I are are still weighing our options and saving up money in hopes of continuing some kind of treatment this summer whether it be injects/iui or ivf.

I'd 100% do it. My hubs and I already decided that if we did ivf and had frosties, we'd donate them at the end or if anything ever happen to either of us. This would just speed it up a little but would also mean we could afford the ivf.
I have thought a lot about it. I think a clinic in Cleveland does it where you get $4k off your cycle if you share the eggs. I think you're guaranteed to get 9 eggs or something. It's also common to do this in other countries that are desperate for egg donors.
I don't think H would be on board. I am also a carrier of CF so I don't think theyd want my eggs. Otherwise, I would do it. If I have extra embryos, I have a friend who wants them, so I'd donate them to her... Even if that would be a little weird.
This is so interesting, I'd never thought of this particular option before. The other day, when DH and I were on a long hike (and having lots of deep convos), I asked him if he would ever consider using a donor egg or donor sperm. For us, it's a hypothetical question because we have no indication that we would need to- but we both ended the conversation agreeing that different ART methods are amazing and that we are so grateful that all of these options exist for us and other people. Now that we want a child so badly, we can certainly appreciate the fact that people with different IF issues and different budgets have so many options. In short, I have no idea what I would do in this particular situation, but I would never judge someone else's decision one way or another.
DH and I are Americans living an adventure in Kenya since 2011

Re: Would you ever do shared IVF?
I'm confused. So you have 20 eggs taken out and keep 10? So what happens to the other 10?
Whenever I hear "shared" with IVF I think of the shared risk program.
That's what I think of too. I'm confused.

Since our issue is MFI, and we are OOP, I would absolutely consider this.
When I was in college I contemplated donating eggs, but never went through with it. I think it's a wonderful thing.
This! And, I couldnt bear it if she got pg and I didnt. I would think someone would just do DE so they can keep all of the eggs.

I would maybe consider it if we were trying for a 2nd child.
How horrible does that make me sound? I know, I know...completely flammable.

I agree with that thought.

Good and you? We're on the calendar for FET #2 in March. What's new with you??
Good. On meds for B2B IUIs early next week. One more night of Clomid then Follistim Thurs/Fri and monitoring on Saturday. Hoping for IUIs Mon/Tues
Woohoo! Good luck
