Dexamethasone or Lupron - side effect broken nails?

Not a vanity question....haha

I'm on Lupron injections and dexamethasone pills right now for my IVF cycle. Anyone else taken these and ended up with really frail nails? I mean they are as thin as paper out of nowhere. I've been scratching and stabbing myself like crazy with a bunch of broken nails that I didn't know I had! Just wondering if any of you had experienced the same with those meds.

Both meds are giving me hot flashes, tiredness, inability to sleep, and a general feeling of pudginess that I am NOT a fan of. Ready to be DONE already!

    I know what you mean about the pudgy feeling! I've been really bloated since I started Lupron almost 2 weeks ago, and it got worse once I started stims. I can't relate to the thin nails, though. All of these unpleasant side effects are worth the goal. Hang in there!

    3/25/11 IUI#1= BFP m/c; D&C at 7w3d (Trisomy 16)
    IUIs #2, #3, #4 and #5= BFNs
    Onto IVF #1= BFN
    FET 4/6/12= 2 extended blasts transferred, with one hatching
    Beta 1= 607; Beta 2= 1,564; Beta 3= 24,439; Beta 4= over 64,000
    First u/s on 5/10= TWINS! Heartbeats 158 and 160!

    Ahhh Lupron made me gain weight like crazy, and all of your other symptoms. I did however notice my nails were a lot thinner. Thought I was crazy, but my nails are usually quite thick and grow fast. Hope you feel better soon!

    I'm on Lupron and Dex--and my nails have been breaking left and right!  I just cut them all off yesterday :(.
