Snack ideas

Hi, My twins are 18 months and I need some healthy snack ideas to send to daycare.  This what I have been sending:

morning snack- some type of fruit
lunch- meat or pasta with veggies and yogurt with fruit mixed in
afternoon snack-  cheese

I am looking for some other options for the afternoon snack, so that they are not eating cheese every day.  I don't want to send another fruit because that's what they have for the morning snack.  Any ideas would be appreciated.

Re: Snack ideas

  • I send cereal bars or Jammy Sammy's as a snack for my daughter.  Depending on the day, she also likes to snack on pepperonis.

  • I would suggest maybe Gerber Graduates snacks (DD loves the cheddar flavored little crunchies), cereal bars, granola, I know you already said you pack fruit, maybe try dried fruit, I also give my 2 year old crushed up cashews, etc. HTH!
  • How about the standards like goldfish, pretzels, cheerios, graham crackers, peanut butter and cracker sandwiches, etc...

  • Annie's/Kashi whole wheat crackers, unsweetened applesauce, cereal/fruit bars, rice cakes with pb, hummus and soft veggies/crackers

  • cereal, crackers, pretzels, carrot sticks, raisins, granola bar

  • What about some veggie sticks (cucumbers, peppers, mushrooms), bagel with cream cheese on it... just trying to think what I give L in addition to what other posters have mentioned.
