How well do Old Navy canvas shoes hold up?

Has anyone ever bought their canvas shoes for their LO? How well do they hold up?

It looks like I need to replace DS' shoes soon and decided I might as well go straight for a lighter pair since we're barely having a winter here this year. Saw some cute ones at ON that slip on.

Open to other recommendations for moderately-priced canvas shoes if anyone has any to offer, too. Wanted to get Converse from Target but trying to avoid tie shoes this year, as DS now wants to put his own on and they appear to have discontinued the velcro ones.

I've never had any luck with shoes from Old Navy.  I also don't think they are that supportive for the LO's feet. We try and get to Shoe Carnival when they are having BO/GO half off sales and stick with Nike and New Balance.....I shop consigments for my LO's clothing, but I don't skimp on their feet.

I don't know anything about ON shoes but I really like their fleece lined active pants!
