I'm not sure what is actually going on with this girl but I interpret her doctor's statement that she might be "one week pregnant" as she might be "one week post-conception". All the girls are like, "your doctor is dumb because you can't be one week pregnant. On the date of conception you're two weeks pregnant."
My take: Um, you CAN be one week pregnant. You conceived a week ago. You're just CONSIDERED two weeks pregnant at conception because it simplifies things in a standard pregnancy.
Right?
Re: Am I crazy? (First tri question)
You are technically not pregnant for the first 2 weeks, then you conceive around that time and find about about 2 weeks later. So technically yes, even though that is not how most people calculate when they tell you how many weeks they are.
ETA: So approximately it is
1 week period
1 week nothing then ovulation around day 14 (obviously this varies)
2 week wait
BFP at 4 weeks pregnant even though you've only had a fertilized egg in your ute for 2 weeks.
DD2 8.22.13
MMC 1.4.17 at 16w
Expecting #3, EDD 1.29.18
This. Obviously, they can't count from the first week that we all include when discussing 40 weeks of pregnancy.
It's weird she even got a positive test though that soon after conception.
