DD is 9 months old and got an ear infection last weekend. One of the clues was that she didn't take hardly any of her bottles at daycare. She's on an antibiotic now and doing better, but still isn't taking the same amount of bm she did before. She nurses with me just fine (nursing for 7-10 minutes every 2-3 hours like always). I asked DH to ask the DC to skip breakfast (they give her a solid breakfast, lunch, and sometimes a snack in addition to her bottles). Let me first say that DH is generally very awesome and one of the best daddies I know, but...he told them to offer her a bottle before breakfast and not to skip breakfast. Yesterday was the first day we did that and she's eating better, but still not back to normal. I hadn't switched to the 6+ nipples yet because she didn't seem to mind the 0-6 nipples, so today I sent her with two 6+ nipples to see if that helps. Since we figured out that she was sick over last weekend, she's been waking up at least once a night to nurse and I've been letting her to make up for the lost calories during the day. I know, not the best choice, but I'm worried about her not eating enough. Could this be a bottle strike? Any other suggestions as to how to get her back to taking a full bottle at day care? TIA!
