Sometimes my 8 week old will lick his lips like he is hungry but he will do it after nursing from both sides. Does that mean I may not be producing enough milk anymore or is it just something they do from time to time?
If you think the baby is hungry, offer the breast. If he's just had 2 breasts, offer the first side again. If he's hungry, he'll eat. If he's not, he won't.
Your milk won't magically leave. If you keep feeding the baby, you keep making enough milk. Supply issues that arise at your baby's age are pretty much always related to pumping, not EBF.
Re: Does licking lips always mean hunger? (XP from 0-3)
Babies do things.
