Has anyone tried the Moby D Woven?

Thinking about getting this as our only wrap - it has great reviews on amazon and can hold up to 35 lbs.  Has anyone here tried it? I'm hoping it will be more comfortable in the summer and more secure than the stretchy original moby.

Re: Has anyone tried the Moby D Woven?

  • Just to clarify a Moby D is not a woven wrap. It is a regular Moby with a not stretchy fabric panel in the middle.  While it does say on the Moby website that Mobys are able to be used until 35lbs.  Most mamas find around 15-20 lbs the wrap begins to sag after wearing for a extended amount of time.

This is the wrap that is woven on the Moby site.

If you are looking for something cooler for the summer I suggest a Gypsy Mama Bali Breeze.

  • I have one, black with a silk insert.  It does seem more secure with heavier weight kids than the regular.  I was able to wear my oldest until he was 1 and about 25 lbs.  Beyond that and it sagged too much.

I do have a GypsyMama Bali Baby Stretch, a hybrid wrap, in the Brigid color.  I LOVE, LOVE, LOVE this wrap.  So amazing.  Light, a bit stretchy, secure, and amazing.

If you're only going to get one, go with the Bali Stretch.
